Body and Display
A 6.7-inch 2K LTPO 120Hz OLED screen with an impressive peak brightness of 2,400 nits and Corning’s Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection graces the Pixel 8 Pro. The Melexis MLX90632 skin temperature sensor, which separates the Pixel 8 Pro, is a key feature. Instead of being used for photography features, this sensor primarily measures temperature.
Chipset:
Both Pixel 8 models are powered by the Tensor G3 chipset, which was created using Samsung’s 4nm manufacturing process. A single Cortex-X3 prime core, four Cortex-A715 cores, and an additional four Cortex-A510 cores make up the 9-core processor in this potent chipset.
Cameras
The Pixel 8 Pro has a triple rear camera system with a 50MP Octa-PD wide shooter with OIS, a brand-new 48MP Quad-PD ultrawide camera, and a 48MP Quad-PD 5x zoom camera with up to 30X Super-Res digital zoom capability. A new 10.5 MP front-facing camera with a large field of view is present.
The Pixel 8, on the other hand, is marginally lighter and smaller and has a small 6.2-inch 1080p display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a maximum brightness of 2,000 nits. Along with a 50MP Octa-PD primary camera, it also features a new 12MP ultrawide camera with autofocus and macro capabilities.
New functions like Photo Unblur, Magic Eraser, Best Take, and Macro Focus (using the ultrawide camera) will be appreciated by photographers. Additionally, the Pro Controls feature of the Pixel 8 Pro expands your photographic options.
The 5,050 mAh battery inside the Pixel 8 Pro supports both 23W and 30W wireless charging. The 128GB model is available for a starting price of $1000. Setting a new benchmark for the Android ecosystem, both Pixel 8 models include a free VPN from Google One and a promise to provide 7 years of OS and security updates.
