The company was incorporated in 1998 in Afghanistan.  The company’s first office was in Kabul in 1999.  Most of the Company’s customers come from large organizations, governmental agencies, companies and educational institutions.  The company’s main business is providing wireless network services and Internet services. Afghan Wireless started its commercial service by creating a GSM network in 2007.  The main purpose of the network was to bring Internet and GSM services to areas that were not accessible to Afghan Wireless at that time.

Afghan Wireless Broadband – Wireless broadband service provider for Afghanistan Afghan Wireless Broadband is a Wireless Broadband service provider for Afghanistan. It is one of the few Broadband providers in Afghanistan that provides 3G /4G services, it also provides other Broadband services such as GPRS. It also provides Voice services under the brand name ‘AWCC’. Afghan Wireless Broadband was founded on 28 June 2009 and opened for public use on 15 January 2010.
